The second participatory workshop G18 EduLab is part of the Jaroslav Kučera Laboratory exhibition. This time it is entirely dedicated to film and film techniques, especially those used by Jaroslav Kučera himself. You can explore the workshop on your own during the gallery opening hours. You can also take advantage of the gallery case prepared by the students of the Arts Management studio.

The suitcase contains five individual creative tasks, which will be guided by Jaroslav Kučera himself. The individual cards help to illuminate the themes and concepts from the exhibition, as well as the thought processes behind the work of the cameraman. The tasks do not follow each other and you can do them according to your interests and time possibilities.

The contents of the case focus mainly on the influences that shaped Kučera’s work, such as surrealism and collage making. Several exercises also work in depth with film color theory, which will ensure that you never look at any film the same way again.

You can take the creations (glasses with coloured filters, collages, written stories) created in the workshop home with you, share them with us under the hashtag #G18EduLab, or stick them to the walls of the workshop with film strips.

You can always explore the case during opening hours from Monday to Thursday, 1-6 PM. If the opening hours are not convenient for you, or if you want to explore colour theory with a larger group of children/students, just contact us by email at janakova@utb.cz or by phone at +420 733 124 390.
