Martin Páv: Czechs in EU institutions

On Tuesday 29 November at 16:00, in cooperation with the Centre for Creative Industries and Entrepreneurship UPPER, we have prepared a lecture by Martin Páv, an expert on EU external cooperation projects from the European Commission.

Martin Páv will talk not only about international traineeship opportunities in the European Union institutions, but also about opportunities to participate in announced EU projects and subsequent career in the EU institutions.
About Martin Páv
Martin Páv studied engineering at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and has worked in the private sector on construction projects in Sudan and Madagascar. In 1991 he joined the European Commission, where he was in charge of public finance and banking sector reforms in Czechoslovakia under the Phare programme. His portfolio later included the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Hungary and the Baltic States.
His work also included providing training at the Commission’s headquarters in Brussels and in EU Delegations in third countries. He then spent four years working on strategic evaluations of EU cooperation with partner countries within the Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development. Finally, he has been involved in setting up fully integrated operational information systems for EU cooperation programs, including e-tendering, etc. He is currently working as an independent consultant for companies involved in the selection and implementation of projects in support of partner countries and funded by the European Commission.
