Florist workshop with Kytku do bytku

G18 full of flowers, because without them, living is not living! We invite you to the Florist Workshop with Kytku do bytku, which will take place on November 6, 2018 in the faculty gallery G18. Come and learn how to work with floral arrangements in the gallery space and enliven the current exhibition. In addition, from 19:30 you can enjoy a movie night in our green space. We have just under three hours of short student films from the Audiovisual Production Studio, comfortable seating bags and refreshments. The workshop will take place from 9:30 AM to approximately 12:00 PM, capacity is limited to 10 places. It is primarily intended for students of Fine Arts FMK UTB in Zlin. To register, please email your name, surname, year and your studio to: galerie@www.g18.cz Annotation of the project from Kytku do bytku: The aim of the practical workshop will be to complement the existing gallery exhibition with a natural element and an attempt to synthesize seemingly incompatible elements. We will learn about the possibilities of living materials and their use as a complementary artistic medium. We will find new compositional solutions and reveal the natural beauty of seemingly uninteresting materials. We will try to induce a discrepancy between what is seen and what is assumed through perspectives, so as to introduce the viewer to fictional landscapes and compositional units. At the same time, we will not look for the definiteness of this solution, but will try to create a work that will change its form during the installation as opposed to technocratic final solutions. Flowers and necessary materials are provided. However, if you have any vases, glass containers, or other materials that might be useful, feel free to bring them along.
