We’ve been cooped up at home for quite a few days now, and it’s (maybe) starting to go a little over our heads. Who misses going to galleries, concerts and theatres too? You’re not alone! You can listen to music at home, you can find a recording of a theatre performance online too, but what about galleries? You can take virtual tours of the big ones, but what if you miss the smaller ones, like ours? Let’s create our own virtual gallery together, and not just one – but two!What hides behind the curtain?
At home, you have (at least) one special image that you perceive every day and that is constantly changing. The window! You can’t affect the view itself, but you can look for interesting things in it. Look out the window for a while and then take a picture of what you see. A neighbour in the garden, a forest of apartment blocks, a breathtaking sunset? You can also post videos or multiple photos comparing different times of the day. Send us your creation on our Facebook. We’ll create a gallery of the images we now see every day.

Do you surround yourself with art in your home? It could be a poster from a favourite exhibition, an old painting you found at a flea market, or even your grandmother’s polished vase. Take a picture of the art in your home for us on Instagram (for stories or feed, but don’t forget to tag @g18gallery and add the hashtag #galerievkarantene). Good old classics are welcome, as well as new, undiscovered artists! Show us what’s hiding on the walls, shelves and in the cupboards of your home.
