Material collection for Ukraine in G18

UPDATE: In one week, together with the people of Zlin, we collected over a thousand boxes of material aid for the people of Ukraine in G18. The collection has been moved to the Rector’s Office of UTB, 5555 T. G. Masaryk Square, as of Monday, March 7.
Students and employees of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications at Tomas Bata University in Zlin launched a material collection to help the people of Ukraine on Sunday 26th February in the early evening. The collection will take place in the faculty Gallery G18 at Štefánikova 5670 near the public transport stop Školní. In addition, in the following days, students and teachers of the art faculty are planning an online art and design sale, 100% of the proceeds of which will also go to help Ukraine.
“We have joined forces with People in Need, which manages collections across the country. In the material collection, we mainly need hygiene supplies, disinfectants, medicines, power banks, sleeping bags and nutrition and clothing for children. I am glad that our students have decided to help by donating their design products for sale,” says Pepa Kocourek, Dean of the Faculty of Multimedia Communications.
What is needed?
Toiletries, disinfectants, toothpaste & toothbrushes, soaps, medicines, batteries, power banks, headlamps, sleeping bags, blankets, mattresses, baby diapers, baby formula, warm clothing, non-perishable food.
The material collection in the G18 Gallery is open every day including weekends from 10am to 9pm until further notice. The sale of student design and art will begin in the coming days, follow FMK’s social media – Facebook and Instagram – for details.
